Thats right our little ol’ holiday park was originally a garden back in the day… before turning into a caravan park called ‘Treasure Island’. This is why we have so many of the beautiful old oak and elm trees around the park. The best part about having these trees around is we are able to maintain the natural beauty of the park and they also make the whole park feel like a little oasis in the middle of Launceston. As everyone knows tree branches are prone to drop which can make them unsafe. Therefore we have these large trees frequently attended to by arborists to ensure the safety of our guests.
As well as the historic trees we are planting new gardens. Our groundsman, Ben has been working tirelessly on creating lovely gardens and keeping the entire park grounds neat and tidy. He takes particular pride in his luscious green lawns! (and is most unimpressed when Phil drives the excavator over his lawns) Flowering trees and shrubs have been planted to add splashes of colour throughout the park, including lavender, ‘Little Bibi’ and stunning ornamental pear trees. These can be seen along our entry, in front of our villas and outside the amenities block, with much more planting planned for the near future!
