Positive Impact

At BIG4 Launceston Holiday Park, our focus is on creating a warm, comfortable and memorable stay while continuing to operate in a way that supports our guests, our team, our local community and the environment around us.

As a family-owned holiday park in the heart of Launceston, we see responsible tourism as part of the way we do business. It guides the standards we work to, the local suppliers we support, the infrastructure we invest in and the small improvements we make behind the scenes.

Our accreditations, environmental practices and community initiatives reflect our ongoing commitment to a park that is professionally managed, thoughtfully developed and continually improving.

Our Accreditations

Our accreditations reflect the standards, systems and care behind every stay. They recognise our ongoing commitment to quality, responsible tourism, environmental care and professional park management.

EcoStar

EcoStar accreditation recognises our commitment to environmentally responsible tourism practices. This includes practical actions across energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, guest education and environmental planning.

Across the park, we continue to invest in initiatives such as LED lighting, water-saving fixtures, refillable or recyclable guest amenities, responsible chemical use, native planting and digital systems that reduce paper use.

QualityTourism

Quality Tourism Accreditation is a nationally recognised program that assesses tourism businesses against industry standards for professionalism, safety, cleanliness, service and operational quality.

For guests, this means confidence that BIG4 Launceston Holiday Park is independently assessed and committed to maintaining high standards across the park experience.

Sustainable

Sustainable Tourism Accreditation recognises our broader commitment to responsible tourism across environmental, social and economic areas.

This includes the way we manage resources, support local suppliers, contribute to the community, educate guests and plan future development with long-term sustainability in mind.

Tamar Villa - Exterior

Accessible Accommodation & Inclusive Travel

We want every guest to feel welcome, comfortable and confident when planning their stay.

Our accessible villas include step-free access, accessible bathrooms and nearby parking, with key details available online to help guests choose the right accommodation before they arrive.

We continue to review our guest information, facilities and service approach so more travellers can enjoy a stay that feels easy, supported and well considered.

TourismEmissionsReduction-BIG4Launceston

Emissions Reduction

We have completed a carbon assessment to better understand our emissions and identify realistic ways to reduce our impact over time.

This work helps guide future decisions across energy use, water use, waste, purchasing, transport, planning and park development. For us, emissions reduction is not about asking guests to compromise on comfort. It is about making practical, thoughtful improvements behind the scenes so our park can continue to grow responsibly.

Supporting Our Local Community

We are proud to be part of the Launceston community and actively look for ways to support local people, businesses and initiatives.

Our approach includes employing local team members, choosing Tasmanian trades and suppliers wherever possible, stocking Tasmanian-made products, encouraging guests to explore local attractions and food producers, and supporting community and charity initiatives.

We have also contributed to causes and organisations including the Save the Tasmanian Devil appeal, BIG4 charity partners, local fundraising events, City Mission, Launceston Salvos and local health and community projects.
